FIBER CUT DUE TO HDD ACTIVITY @ BUKIT JAMBUL, PENANG

In this post, we would like to share with readers on our previous fiber restoration work at Bukit Jambul, Penang which was cut due to HDD activity.

1. Temporary bypass the affected manhole section. HDD activity had damaged the existing ducting

2. Two fiber cables (48core and 144core) were temporary bypass

3. Set up splicing work area

4. Preparation of cable tail end in the progress

5. Preparation of splicing closure

6. Fusion splicing for straight joint using Fujikura FSM-60S

7. Fiber coil inside splicing tray.
